JOB TITLE:
Electrical Engineer
Axalta has a need for a Manufacturing Site Electrical Engineer. The selected candidate will be required to perform a variety of duties such as the following:Maintain and provide technical support for electrical distribution systems, including AC and DC power, process, and utility equipment.Provide follow-up on electrical equipment and instrumentation failures, determining root cause and identifying actions to prevent recurrence.Develop and manage reliability program for electrical equipment, including specific work and preventive maintenance procedures.Provide hands-on assistance to electrical and instrumentation technicians with troubleshooting problems, including motor control center and variable frequency drive systems.Provide Electrical Safety training for technical, maintenance, and operations.Conduct electrical and instrumentation reviews for capital projects and Process Hazards Analyses.Support, develop, and implement strategies for improving instrumentation and process monitoring equipment.Provide support for ABB distributed control systems (DCS) and Rockwell programmable logic controller (PLC) configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.Evaluate existing instrumentation and utilizing engineering design processes to improve accuracy and reliability.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.3-5 years industrial plant experience.Experience with electrical power distribution systems.Working knowledge of electrical requirements in hazardous locations as defined by NFPA70 NEC and NFPA 70E.Knowledge of construction practices in hazardous areas.Familiarity with SKM or ETAP in modelling electrical distribution systems and running arc flash studies.Working knowledge of DCS or PLC systems. Knowledge of ABB DCS and Rockwell PLC preferred.Experience with electrical and instrumentation equipment selection and specification, calibration, and troubleshooting.
