MDW is seeking candidates at various levels to provide protocol support to our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) client at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Protocol Specialist is responsible for providing assistance in coordinating, planning, and executing all aspects of protocol functions, objectives, and initiatives. Events supported include ceremonies for promotions, change of commands, retirements and other events. The candidate must be near-site as the role requires 2 to 3 days per week on-site.
The Protocol Specialist will be responsible for the following:
Assist in the planning and coordinating of all aspects of visits by Distinguished Visitors, Very Important Persons (VIPs, includes general and other flag officers and high-ranking civilian employees), and other official visitors.Provide administrative, protocol, and event management support and oversight to include award ceremonies, retirements, and other internal events.Assist in the coordination and arrangements for events to include facilities, speakers, graphics, scripts, guest list, invitations, seating arrangements, flags, rendering of honors, decorations, receptions/receiving lines, menu selections, event set-up/clean up, etc.Assist in preparing itinerary for official visitors ensuring all arrangements for escort service, meetings, transportation, etc. have been properly coordinated and all responsible parties advised.Provide briefs concerning special plans and procedures pertaining to visits.Participate in required planning meetings as required.Assist in tracking of official visitors to coordinate office space and parking.Reserving office and conference space for events.Review detailed plans to ensure consistency with established policies and procedures.Maintain files on visits, awards, ceremonies, and presentations conducted.Coordination of external visitor base access and badges.Clearance Requirement(s):
