This leader builds a deep understanding of business and workforce needs in order to translate operational challenges into human resource strategies. Additionally, this leader collaborates with human resources centers of excellence (COEs) to support those needs, navigates and balances the needs of the business, organization and HR, and maintains an independent perspective and voice.This caregiver reports to the Senior Director for HR Shared Services and has three direct HR Generalist reports to support the Division of Finance, which is comprised of around 4,000 caregivers. The ideal candidate possesses extensive employee relations experience including conflict resolution, HR Investigations, leading HR strategy, etc. Previous experience supporting finance functions is preferred.This is the ideal position for an individual who is seeking exposure to all facets of Human Resources. This position offers the opportunity to work at a world-class organization among a large team of HR professionals supporting caregivers who provide excellent care to our patients.This is primarily a remote position, with the caregiver expected to attend various in-person meetings at Cleveland Clinic Administrative Campus, Main Campus, Business Operations Center or other applicable locations within the Cleveland area.A caregiver who excels in this role, will:In collaboration with Institute/Division/Hospital leadership, create and ensure ongoing review of the HR strategic plan aligned to business goals and workforce planning.Establish Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to communicate, measure and track key outcomes of the strategic plan.Build and maintain relationships and partners with HR COEs to drive the Institute/Division/Hospital's HR Strategic plan and other HR initiatives, which may include workforce planning, diversity & inclusion, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, workplace wellness, learning & engagement, HRIS & analytics and HR communications.Understand, use and interpret HR and business metrics to identify trends, problem solve and influence change.Assess and evaluate the level of talent on a continuous basis. Provide structure and guidance for leadership development strategies within the organization.Serve as a coach in efforts related to change management, engagement, team effectiveness and leadership development.Facilitate leadership development initiatives such as retreats, new leader assimilations and team engagement vestigate complex employee complaints and make recommendations to senior leaders. Navigate difficult discussions and complex situations to assist leadership with assessing performance deficiencies and developing plans to address.Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field8 years of progressive, related Human Resources experience, including three years of management experience and/or experience coaching and mentoring leadersAnalytical skills in talent management, workforce planning, and HR Strategy, including the ability to analyze and apply data measure performance and outcomesCritical thinking skills, problem solving, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:Master's degreeHuman Resources certification - Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)Healthcare experience and in-depth knowledge of employment and labor laws (EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, NLRA, etc.)Strong communication skills (verbal and written), group facilitation and presentation skillsPrevious (HR) experience supporting a finance organization or over part of an organization that includes finance functionsExperience supporting an organization or complex finance business unit with over 3,000 employeesExtensive employee relations experience (HR Investigations, conflict management, disciplinary action, etc)Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
