Role Title: DBA
As a Logical Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and improving database solutions by implementing new solutions. The role involves working closely with application development teams, business stakeholders, and other partners to enhance existing applications and implement new solutions. This role also requires a strong emphasis on performance monitoring, tuning, and database administration, ensuring high availability for users.Minimum Requirements:• 8+ years of experience in implementing, administering, managing, and monitoring databases in production and non-production environments, ensuring data integrity and security.• 8+ years of advanced knowledge in developing and optimizing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.• Proven ability to lead large, complex initiatives and performance tuning improvements, including using Explain Plan for query optimization.• Strong knowledge of Oracle internal views, functions, and architecture, including tablespace consolidation and index analysis.• Experience with Oracle 11/19c databases on Solaris/Linux systems for troubleshooting and optimization.• Proficiency in Oracle SQL Developer and Erwin Modeling tools for creating data models, including star schemas.• Experience using Agile methodologies in large development projects.Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and maintain database solutions and support applications developers.• Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to enhance the applications and implement new solutions.• Perform advanced database administration tasks, including performance monitoring, tuning, and providing database-related support.• Participate in Agile practices such as backlog grooming and user story development.• Provide production, development, and test environment support, including on-call support for troubleshooting.• Develop and modify Linux shell scripts to support day-to-day database administration tasks.• Advanced expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development and tuning.• Able to work with ErWin tool for reverse engineering and create subject areas.• Able to work on AWS and its technology.• Must have good knowledge of PostgreSQL.• Other duties as assigned.
