POSITION SUMMARY:The Concrete Finisher Foreman is responsible for smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs to specified textures using hand tools or power tools including float, trowel and screed.Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and proceduresSpread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, using float to bring water to surface and produce soft toppingLevel, smooth and shape surfaces of freshly poured concrete using straightedge and float or power screedFinish concrete surfaces using power trowel or wets and rub concrete with abrasive stone to impart finishRemove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces using power grinder or chisel and hammer and patch holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compoundMold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straightedgeSprinkle colored stone chips, powered steel or coloring power on concrete to produce prescribed finishProduce rough concrete surface using broomMix concrete using hoe or concrete-mixing machineMay direct sub-grade work, mixing of concrete and setting of formsSpecialize in finishing steps and stairwaysMaintain a professional appearanceOther duties as assigned by Foreman and SuperintendentSUPERVISORY:Manage, lead direct reports, and mentor.
Qualifications:EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.Two (2) to Four (4) years of concrete finishing experience.
