Marketing Intern - Communications, Community Relations and Events
to drive the business by assisting the team in the development, production and implementation of the Company's corporate relations both internally and externally as the champion for ensuring the Company's brand is properly and consistently articulated in written and digital communications. Most of the work involves processing and tracking sponsorships, although some writing and other projects may be included.At Ameritas, our mission is Fulfilling Life. This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.What you doCommunications:
Assist with executing internal communications plans, including conducting research, gathering photos, and writing articles
Community Relations:Connect and collaborate with local nonprofit organizations and their staffAssist with community sponsorship messaging, tracking, research and planningProcess and track donation budgetsManage community relations databases using Ameritas digital platform
Events:Assist with event logistics, metrics and record keepingContribute to meeting planning and the creation of event registration sites
What you bringEnrolled in a college program at least part-time for the entire course of the internship studying Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or another related field.Able to fulfill a year-round commitment part-time (PT) during the academic school year and full-time (FT) during the summerPT includes 10-20 hours a weekFT includes 30-40 hours a week
Strong oral and writing skillsAbility to adapt to change, possess strong relationship-building skills and take initiativeInterest in organizational communication, community relations and event planningAbility to ask questions and write accurately about the businessSense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
