Taxonomy Coordinator

Work in a collaborative environment with a diverse, employee community where staff enjoy a generous benefits package and a genuine commitment to a work-life balance (4+ weeks of paid time off and hybrid remote/in-person schedules for most roles).SUMMARYThe Taxonomy Coordinator will work with the PLI taxonomy, including indexing Course Handbook chapters, taxonomy maintenance, taxonomy documentation, and will perform regular quality control. The position will work across the PLI organization, under the guidance of the Associate Taxonomy Manager, to align with the taxonomy for consistency of PLI content tagging.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage the indexer queues and ensure content is assigned to the appropriate individual and that content is completed in a timely fashionPrepare and send weekly status reports to legal editors, program attorneys and all indexersIndex PLI content using internal taxonomy with a focus on Course HandbooksPerform quality checks on the content that is indexed to ensure quality and consistencyMake recommendations based on quality control checks and work with the larger team to refine workflows and processes as neededProvide training, assistance, and documentation to SMEs and other indexers.Collaborate with the taxonomy team to maintain the machine-aided indexing rulesetContribute to the annual taxonomy update discussion and process through providing reports and data analysis and other research as necessaryManage the day-to-day tasks in the taxonomy systems and report and troubleshoot issues if they arise, working in collaboration with other departments as neededSupport taxonomy maintenance as neededSpecial projects, as they come upMeet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines as established by supervisorOther duties, as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThere are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS1-3 years of professional experiencein a related fieldAdvanced Academic Credentials required; MLS preferredFamiliarity of publication classification systems is a plusAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsAnalytical mindset and critical thinkingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management skills
