The
Licensed Lead Clinician (Lead Specialist, Child Well Being)
is the point of contact for matters related to child well-being at DHS sites.
Essential Functions:
Provide related advisement and decision support regarding child well-being and communicate program information to leadershipManage all program matters to provide support through professional opinions, technical expertise, and technical assistance regarding sector-wide concerns for child wellbeing and trauma-informed carecoordination for special cases that may be escalated by the CWB Specialist, including facilitation of connection across local, state, and federal resourcesEngage with leadership and all necessary stakeholders to coordinate care and expedite placementMaintain an updated surge support deployment plan and coordinate the deployment of CWB Specialists to surge support activities as necessaryCoordinate with management on reporting requirements, implementing initiatives, and responding to requests for informationImplement regular guidance to support continuity in care, elimination of duplication of effort, and synchronization of activities across the entire child well-being program operational footprintRespond to requests for information by providing routine process and outcome metrics reports to support monitoring and evaluating program successOther duties as assignedKnowledge and Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suiteAbility to support several sites through ongoing communication and review of assessment dataAbility to communicate with site and government staff effectively and efficientlyAbility to support several sites through ongoing communication, review, and data assessmentAbility to operate in a dynamic environment within a developing new programExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skillsGood research skills and attention to detailAbility to work flexible hours. Master's degree in behavioral health or related field; doctoral degree preferredLicensed Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor level prepared psychologist (LP) or equivalent within the state(s)5+ years of working experience in child development, culturally aware and trauma-centered care, performing clinical evaluations in direct engagement with children and their families2+ years of management experience leading and supervising staffPrior experience in cultural humility, child development, trauma-informed care, and psychological distress training and development preferred but not requiredBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredMust be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
