Your Role

Assembler - Wood

Shift and Hours:

1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, occasional overtime and weekends may be optional or required

As an Assembler - Wood with us, you'll use your strong teamwork skills, you will safely and efficiently build wood crates using blueprints (cut sheets) and power tools to meet customer specifications for quality and on-time delivery. You will log in and out of jobs in the Ops Center (Production software planning system) to track jobs and follow production schedules. You'll also follow safety and personal protective equipment requirements

What You'll Be Doing

Build Various Sized Wooden Cratesi.e., nail and staple guns, power drills, grinders, and hammersUse tape measure to ensure the measurements match the cut sheet up to 1/8th inchSafe ladder use required when assembling the tops (caps) of cratesMay need to assemble bases or skids for crates on the ground. This requires use of a 20 pound, 3.5-inch nail gun while crouching and/or kneelingAble to read, interpret, find, and document possible cut sheet and/or stenciling errorsUse of adhesives to apply foam to wood crates and conduct specification checksEfficiently perform work according to standard operating proceduresUse of Equipment and When to Involve a Supervisor

Required Qualifications

3 months of experience in carpentry, construction and/or landscapingUse of dimensional and electrical power tools and motorized equipmentBasic computer skills to use Ops Center to log in & out of jobs with employee ID numberWillingness to use heat sealers, utility knives, machinery and varying textures of foamPreferred Qualifications
