Senior Financial Analyst - Full-Time, Days

University of Chicago Medicine Care Network , as a
Senior Financial Analyst . Here, you will join our finance team at our Burr Ridge location. This position requires you to work onsite 3 days per week. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
The Financial Analyst of the Care Network will report to the Care Network Manager of Finance and will provide day to day support including financial analytics and related reporting to medical group leadership to support management decision making to drive overall financial performance. The analyst will also support the preparation of monthly financial reports and key performance indicators, support physician compensation and modeling, participation in the annual budget cycle and provide as needed adhoc analysis upon request. This role is critical to the financial success of the Community Medical Group.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare and distribute standard monthly financial reporting including rolling forecasts and analysis to medical group leadership to provide clarity of financial performance for the medical group including volume based reporting
Provide qualitative and quantitative financial analysis in reporting of patterns, growth insights and trends seen within the financials to decision-makers
Provide analytical support for physician compensation models and analytics including biweekly, monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of variable physician compensation calculations to ensure accurate and timely payment of physician compensation and productivity bonuses and related analytics
Participation in the preparation of the annual financial plan and budget including the development of volume and revenue budgets, annual operating expenses and related reporting
Support, Review and Prepare portions of the Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) and communicated significant variances on a timely basis, including coordinating with finance and accounting adjustments when needed

Manages and completes the month, quarter, and year-end close ensuring accuracy of our accounting and financial records
Supports the maintenance and improvement of department business applications including physician compensation reporting from Tableau and Business Intelligence (BI)
Perform adhoc financial analysis as requested by management
Performs other duties assigned
Required Qualifications
5-7 years’ experience in finance at a healthcare system, preferably an academic healthcare system
Fluent in excel, MS Office and SQL
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field, with relevant financial management experience
