Senior Tax Manager
on behalf of our client, an exceptional boutique full service public accounting firm in West Palm Beach, FL. This Direct-Hire, Full-Time position is offered on a hybrid remote basis. SUMMARY: The Senior Tax Manager will join a leading, dynamic firm that offers extensive growth opportunities in its tax practice. This role is suited for experienced client-facing professionals looking to leverage their accounting expertise in a management-level tax position. With the chance to work alongside firm partners and develop meaningful client relationships, you'll play a pivotal role in our expanding tax team.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage client engagements by preparing and reviewing complex tax returns and collaborating directly with clients. Conduct in-depth tax research and provide recommendations on tax matters. Utilize strong organizational and communication skills to work closely with firm Partners on tax-related client matters. Identify, research, and implement tax planning and savings strategies, applying extensive knowledge of Partnership, S Corporation, and high-net-worth individual tax laws. Supervise and develop a team, guiding 2 to 4 tax staff members, including staff and senior associates. Support firm operations by managing client billing and administrative responsibilities as needed. QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or LLM preferred. 5-9 years in public accounting, with Big 4 or regional firm experience a plus. CPA required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software (CCH WK, ProSystem Tax, Engagement, Fixed Asset). Knowledge of ASC 740, ASC 740-10 is beneficial. Proficiency in C-Corp, Partnership, S-Corp, and individual tax preparation; multi-state tax experience required; Trust, Gift, and Estate experience preferred. Exceptional client relationship management and team development abilities, with excellent communication and tax research skills. A self-starter attitude, detail-oriented approach, and readiness to work overtime during tax season are essential.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This position offers a competitive salary of $120,000-$160,000 annually depending on experience in addition to the companies benefits package.
