We're actively seeking a talented Sr Pension Service Analyst. This role will be hybrid, based in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.As a Sr. Pension Service Analyst, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by supporting the division by providing subject matter expertise on defined benefit and defined contribution products, providing operational R&D support for product development, and support division-wide projects. In addition, this role will be responsible for developing an internal program focusing on the administration of complex benefit plans (defined benefit and defined contribution plans) including setup in the administration platform, manual benefit calculations, escalated cases and RFP/plan provision reviews .

How you will make an impact:Administer complex benefit plans including setup in admin platform, manual calculations, escalated cases, RFP/plan provision review on plan bids, etc.

Build and leverage relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex and expanding product lines.

Propose opportunities to improve results and customer experience based on continuous needs assessment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, plans, and consultants to enhance delivery maturity.

Construct senior-level presentations/report and present findings in a clear, concise, and decision-impacting manner for internal and external clients.

Serve as a first point of Operations contact for project-related questions, including inquiries from Technology, Legal, Compliance or other key stakeholders. Subject matter expertise is sought out and communicated back accurately to requesting parties.

Participate and present with on-going periodic status calls with all interested parties upon each sale. Responsible and accountable for the accurate and effective takeover of new sales ensuring all aspects of the post-sale process have been covered for each new placement and adheres to the final bid specifications prior to the transition to the TPA/BPO.

Manage and drive self-dependently R&D projects, such as product development, workflow, communications, etc. from ideation to market implementation in a multifunctional team involving internal and external partners.

The experience you will bring:Experience with complex defined benefit/defined contribution participant benefit calculations required

5+ years of experience with Institutional products or equivalent Financial Services experience

Ability to complete assignments in high-volume, fast paced environment under tight deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.

Experience in gathering and analyzing complex business requirements and developing functional specifications.

Ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively with a variety of people

Adaptable to using/understanding various system functionality and experience working with different technologies.

Strong experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.$76,140.00 - $93,060.00
