POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for performing custodial functions at School District facilities.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform regular custodial duties such as mopping, sweeping, dumping trash, cleaning glass, vacuuming, and changing light bulbsReport maintenance and other needs to the Foreman/Lead Engineer in buildingLock and un-lock doors in building according to scheduled activitiesSet-up and clean-up for special eventsShovel snow and operate snow removal equipmentPerform exterior cleaning duties such as sweeping sidewalks and picking up trashMove furniture and equipment as neededRespond to the needs of building occupants and usersProvide excellent customer service to building staff, students and other users.Other duties as assigned

Able to operate equipment associated with custodial operationsAble to follow oral and written directionsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectivelyAbility to lift up to 75 poundsPrompt, regular and reliable attendanceAbility to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Internet navigation and Microsoft WordCommunicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.
