SummaryPosition SummaryTherapists are professionals who provide services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in mental or physical functioning and health status due to injury, disease or other causes. The therapist integrates evaluation, diagnosis, rehab prognosis and interventions to attain optimal functional outcomes and address orders per divisional standards. Pediatric feeding and sensory integration experience required. USC Chan SI certification preferred but not required.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Knowledge of therapy techniques at a level acquired through completion of entry level academic program approved by a national organization.
License/Certifications:
Requires current license in the state of Maine.
Experience:
N/A
Requires creative thinking, effective planning, ability to recognize change, report, and record pertinent information.
Requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changes in schedule and patient needs.
Requires familiarity with division policies, procedures, equipment, materials and work routines at a level generally acquired during one to three months on-the-job orientation.
Requires interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients and an interdisciplinary health care team.
Introductory orientation period of one year at MMC for all new hires.
