Prepare individual and corporate income tax returns, including Form 1040, 1120, 1065, and 1041.
Gather and organize necessary tax documents from clients.
Research and apply tax laws and regulations to determine tax liability.
Identify and claim available tax deductions and credits.
Review tax returns for accuracy and completeness.
Tax Compliance:
Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations.
Assist with tax audits and examinations.
Prepare and file tax extensions and amended returns.
Client Service:
Respond to client inquiries and provide tax advice.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Educate clients on tax laws and regulations.
Administrative Tasks:
Organize and maintain tax files and records.
Assist with tax research and analysis.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications We Require:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years of tax preparation experience
CPA certification or CPA eligible (a plus)
Highly proficient with tax laws and regulations.
Skills We Are Looking For:Experience with tax software such as Intuit Lacerte, Thomson Reuters, UltraTax, or CCH Axcess.
Knowledge of tax planning strategies for various industries.
Experience with tax audits and negotiations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems.
