The Legacy Elder Law Center focuses on elder law, estate planning, special needs law, and resolving disputes involving estate/trust matters, fiduciary duties, and guardianships/conservatorships. We are a steadily growing, nationally recognized, yet small and collegial Northern Virginia law firm located in downtown Leesburg. Our approach is highly personal and customized. We work to live, not live to work, with a billable hour requirement of 1200 hours per year and no weekend work.About the Role:
This opportunity is for a mid-level associate attorney with two to four years of experience looking to advance their career in a partner-track position. You will be mentored by experienced attorneys and develop skills to attract and engage quality clients in an environment that encourages independence and a great work-life balance.Position Type:
Full-Time, Partner-TrackResponsibilities:Act as the primary attorney contact for clients in litigation mattersMeet potential clients to assess conflicts of interest, case quality, and suitability for the firm’s practiceProvide litigation support, motions, and trial practice in state courts and US District CourtsDelegate effectively and manage time wiselyCollaborate daily with attorneys and co-workers to meet deadlinesRespond to client, attorney, and team member inquiries within acceptable time framesAssess prospective clients’ needs and determine next stepsOversee staff paralegals and support personnel to provide client servicesRepresent the firm positively through a professional demeanorHandle factual/legal research, cite checking, drafting, and assembling exhibits, complaints, briefs, pleadings, and motionsMake court appearances and try casesRequirementsAdmission to Virginia required.
