Terrific Executive Director of Foundation and Institutional Advancement position with a college in the Houston area. The Executive Director will be responsible for ensuring the foundation meets its fundraising goals by leveraging relationships with donors, corporations, and members of the community. The role will also manage the full lifecycle for a portfolio of major gift donors and work to cultivate and steward strong relationships with corporate partners. Ideal candidates will have excellent leadership skills and experience securing 6+ figure gifts. Candidates should have approximately 3+ years of related development experience, including time as a member of the management team. A Bachelor's degree is required. Experience with a higher education institution is preferred. Capital campaign experience is a plus. This position is based in the greater Houston area. The salary range is $105,000 to $137,000 per year, based on experience.
Responsibilities:Develop and implement a fundraising program to support college and foundation prioritiesManage the full lifecycle of fundraising for a portfolio of principal ($100k+) and major ($10k+) gifts prospectsEnsure high levels of stewardship and proper use of giftsCollaborate with the Board of Directors and College President on establishing goals and objectives for the FoundationOversee the Board of Directors; increase engagement, recruit new board members and mentor members on fundraising and donor relationsManage the Foundation's financial operation, management of assets, and operational budgetOversee Grant submissions (pre- and post-award)Implement a comprehensive donor stewardship planIdentify and solicit corporate giving partnersManage and mentor a team of five development professionalsQualifications:
Relevant development experience, including time in a management role; higher education experience preferredBachelor's degree requiredStrong track record of securing 6+ figure major gifts from individuals and corporationsPossess the ability to serve as a frontline fundraiser and oversee the operations of the FoundationStellar team player, manager, and mentorKnowledge of grants and funding sourcesExperience with capital campaignsCFRE certification a plus
