SUMMARYThis position is directly responsible for assisting in regulatory compliance related to residential mortgage servicing and lending.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)1. Oversee, review, and monitor and advise Servicing compliance with RESPA, FCRA, SCRA, and ECOA rules andany other additional regulations or guidelines that may apply to servicing or other areas of mortgage.2. Provides reports and updates on a regular basis on compliance reviews to keep senior management and servicing management informed on relevant servicing compliance and risk issues.3. Oversee, review, and monitor the servicing system to ensure updates meet regulatory requirements.4. Maintains current knowledge of servicing compliance requirements and upcoming changes that impact the residential mortgage lending industry.5. Ensures that management is informed of frequently occurring errors within servicing or if errors exceed the maximum allowable threshold for servicing quality control.6. Assists the servicing organization with internal and external audits by collecting documentation and reviewing requests for documentation.7. Reviews the servicing organization's policy and procedures and advises on regulatory or investor guidelines of any changes or updates that need to be made.8. Implements and advises the servicing organization on the proper codes, rules and regulations to ensure the organization maintains an effective compliance program.9. Proactively provides effective feedback and guidance and support for other Mortgage related compliance items for servicing.10. Makes recommendations for Servicing QAQC root cause for servicing findings. Assists with servicing complaints by collecting information and or evidence.11. May provide training for new compliance changes impacting servicing processes.12. Maintains current regulatory change tracker for any regulatory changes that may impact mortgage lending and servicing.13. Conduct servicing testing on key risk areas and prepare testing reports for servicing management.ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIESPerforms other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor.Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.Dresses professionally.Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department.EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and Work ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.Bachelor of Science, Business preferred.Minimum 3-5 years experience in mortgage lending environment required..Technical/Functional CompetenciesStrong organizational skills.Strong attention to detailProficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, OutlookStrong knowledge with LOS Encompass.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.Ability to follow written and verbal directivesAbility to articulate ideas and methods to improve overall mortgage compliance metricsAbility to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.Ability to managed multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlinesDemonstrated technical knowledge of Bank, mortgage, Federal and State lending and compliance/regulatory matters.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
