Assembler - Damper Associate I - 2nd Shift Openings (Monday through Friday 3pm to 11:30pm)
SUMMARY:
The Damper Associate is responsible for utilizing hand tools such as a drill, pneumatic drivers, rivet gun, caulk gun, wrenches, and other tools to assemble a wide range of louvered and damper products to specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Interprets basic dimension specifications, simple prints and instructions to determine work to be completed in accordance with product drawings/specifications.Performs manual and repetitive assembly and sub-assembly functions including riveting, caulking, pneumatic screwing, and bolting of parts to frames and damper assemblies.Following basic instruction to build a finished product void of defects and meeting technical standardsAssembles materials on table by following technical written or verbal instructionsOperates various equipment such as a drill, rivet gun, caulk gun, pneumatic drivers and other equipment, as required and necessaryPerforms routine daily inspections to determine quality of finished product for defects at certain designated intervals prescribed in the work instructions.Clean machines, tooling, and parts, as needed occasionally to keep equipment in proper working condition.Train new members on the various assemblies, tools, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production.Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean and safe work area.Identify and rework assemblies deemed defective through QA inspection to comply with quality standards.Observes and obeys safety rules, including wearing required personal protective equipment Any other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives, or as assigned by the immediate supervisorQUALIFICATIONS

Education
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience is required,Experience
1 -2 year of assembly experience preferred and/or related experience in similar manufacturing industries acceptable.Language and Communication Skills : The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, work instructions, and memos. Ability to effectively communicate information in a one on one and in a team environment.Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts.Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Attention to Detail
- Ability to detail and specifications, read, interpret, and follow work instructions in an orderly manner. Ability to inspect materials according to quality standardsCertifications Required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The ability to stand 8+ hours a day. The ability to reach and bend. The ability to frequently lift, push, or pull, up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity is required and the ability to operate with hand tools. Ability to do repetitive bending, reaching, stretching, lifting and twisting for 8+ hours. The ability to wear all proper PPE's, as required. The employee must be able to work in a state of constant alertness and in a safe manner.

This position will be working a second shift schedule M-F 3pm-11:30pm once fully trained.Training is an estimated 6 weeks of training on dayshift M-F 6:30am - 3:00pm
