The Training Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees in our Aviation Security Operation at St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

This is a field training position that requires flexibility to offer training sessions at various times of the day in both a classroom and airport operation setting. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities :

Assesses training and development needs in partnership with operations management teamCreates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of new hire orientation, as well as initial and recurrent skills training for employeesDevelops unique training programs to fulfill workers' specific needs to maintain or improve job skillsMaintain familiarization with training procedure manuals, guides, and course materialsPresents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videosMaintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirementsPerforms other related duties as requiredSame day or overnight travel on an as needed basisThe successful candidate will be:

A proactive thinker with an outgoing personality who is comfortable speaking in front of groups and interacting with company colleagues and employeesQualifications

Qualifications :

Must have previous management experienceMust be at least 21 years oldMust have a valid State Security LicenseMust have a valid drivers license with a clean driving recordUpon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United StatesMust be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and examsAbility to obtain an airport badge with customs seal: DHS requires a 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal, employment history. Also, must be able to pass a security threat assessment as administered by the TSA
