Clinical Research Coordinator II
The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator to work with Dr. Zureikat's lab studying pancreatic cancer and other GI neoplasms. The incumbent will be involved with data collection, input, updates, and maintain accurate data on computer systems and in archives. Prepares, compiles, reviews, and verifies data for team projects. Organizes and manipulates data and stores security and backup data files. Other responsibilities include maintaining up to date IRB documents and consents, along with tracking of other agreements, and management of weekly team meetings. Strong candidate should have a Bachelors degree in science, with experience in clinical research, medicine, or laboratory research.Job Summary
Conducts research assessments on study participants. Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Assists with training staff. Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection.Essential Functions
This position is responsible for overseeing data management, IRB and regulatory documents, OR schedule and specimen collection, as well as management of weekly meetings. Duties include defining and executing data- editing and corrections, accessing database to produce summaries and reports, developing forms, IRB documentation and procedures, and communicating with clinical center personnel to facilitate data collection and error resolution. Requires excellent organizational skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with othersPhysical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary.
