We are seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager of Portfolio Strategy and Management to lead our tissue product portfolio within the Genomics sequencing business. This role will drive and oversee the commercial success of our tissue based assay portfolio by developing and guiding execution of optimized product strategies. This is a highly visible role with significant cross-functional leadership responsibilities that directly impacts the direction and growth of our sequencing business.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop long-term portfolio vision, strategy and roadmap for Tempus' tissue biopsy products, based on analysis of customer needs, competitive landscape, internal feasibility, and financial and strategic value. Deliverables may include:3-5 year business roadmaps, prioritizing new product and other business growth opportunitiesTarget product profiles (TPPs)Commercialization and lifecycle management plansCollaborate with cross-functional leadership (sales, marketing, market access, medical, product, R&D, etc.) to deliver on business goals for the liquid biopsy portfolioEnsure appropriate resource availability and prioritizationConstantly evaluate trade-off decisions to ensure product development speed, efficiency, and qualityDevelop launch strategies to guide new product launch planningProactively monitor competitive intelligence and customer feedback to identify and act on new threats and opportunitiesLead cross-functional annual planning process for the liquid portfolioRequired Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a strategic business function such as corporate strategy, management consulting, private equity, and/or product management3+ years of experience in the healthcare and/or life sciences sectorExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEntrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguitySolutions-oriented and bias to actionPreferred Qualifications
Experience in oncologyExperience with diagnostic product life cycles, from R&D stage through clinical validation, FDA approval, and commercialization#LI-GL1
