Expectations:Huntington Health in Pasadena, California is inviting applicants to join a hospital-based community physician group serving the Greater Los Angeles area. This position is for a
General
Surgical
Pathologist
with additional subspecialty training and/or experience in
Breast Pathology ,
Gynecologic Pathology
and/or
Hematopathology
for full-time employment. Candidates must hold an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or D.O. degree, be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California State Medical License and be board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong diagnostic and communication skills and at least 2 years of post-training clinical practice, but recent graduates with a strong background will be considered. Expected start date is January 1st, 2024.The Pathology Department at Huntington Health comprises 6 pathologists serving a 619-bed community hospital, ambulatory care center, and various outpatient physician groups. Annual workload volume for this group is approximately 16,000 surgical pathology and 2500 non-gynecologic cytology specimens. Our laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).An excellent salary and benefits package is provided. Starting remuneration is commensurate with the level of training and experience. Benefits include a guaranteed base salary, generous performance and workload-based incentives and comprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, paid malpractice, CME allowance, and 401K matching.Huntington Health serves the San Gabriel Valley community.
