Position Details:
Summary of Duties:
Serve as confidential Executive Assistant providing comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Dean of the College of Medicine. The position is responsible for a broad and complex set of assignments related to the duties of the Dean. Oversees the day-to-day operational administration of the Dean's Suite ensuring that activities meet the vision and goals of the college. Acts on behalf of the Dean using independent judgement based on knowledge of the college and university policies and procedures and represents the Office of the Dean to internal and external constituents. The Executive Assistant will provide accurate updating and confidential maintenance of correspondence/records; plan and implement events for the Dean's office in a professional and efficient manner; accurately and efficiently manage the Dean's communication flow and schedule; effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders/personnel in a helpful, responsive and respectful manner; acting as the Dean's liaison to all constituents. Undertakes projects with minimal direction. Provides input on policy and procedural matters.
The Executive Assistant is proactive, takes initiative, respond efficiently and must maintain a flexible and responsive attitude and approach to completing tasks continually in a fast-paced environment, shifting priorities and tasks quickly and easily and completing all other assignments as assigned in a helpful and responsive manner.

Required Qualifications: Positions require a Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant field AND five (5) years of managing administrative support experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Requirements:
• Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Demonstrated record of responsible administrative support background.
• Experience in maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with high-volume calendar management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines.
• Experience in higher education.
• Experience in a healthcare or related field
• Previous experience at Washington State University, including experience with WSU policies and procedures.
