Date Available:NegotiableGENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for guiding the development and implementation of the District's technology vision. The Executive Director's primary purpose is to provide technological solutions and support for all functions of the district.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESRecruit, screen, hire, supervise, train and evaluate technology department staff.Develop and implement a comprehensive, district-wide technology plan to address short and long term needs and systems implementation in alignment with the District's Strategic Plan.Provide leadership to all members of the Technology Department to ensure alignment with district goals and community needs.Conduct an annual program analysis and report on needs, activities and effectiveness of technology programs throughout the district.Responsible for managing network infrastructure including network devices and physical plant, server and desktop systems engineering and services, directory services, security policy and implementation, and user support and satisfaction.Plan, implement and support network applications and services including email, data and data-based services, internal and external web services and content management, and the prevention and control of viruses, malicious software, spy ware, and unwanted email.Plan, implement, coordinate, and support telecommunications services including internal telephone service and equipment, internal and external messaging service, and wide area network technologies.Provide,manage and monitor the delivery of educational content via media systems including video networks, media retrieval and streaming, and broadcast systems.Provide client side administration and support including hardware troubleshooting and repair, all aspects of desktop management, and end user training and support.Manage data loss-prevention and recovery and disaster planning.Manage software acquisition and support including regular and special education titles, student management, electronic grading, library automation, office productivity, Internet and email access, transportation, food service, and business and financial management.Manage compliance with federal and state programs such as the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA), E-Rate, student data reporting, etcetera.Customer service and support for all systems and technologies.Maintain Technology Inventory & Obsolescence Replacement plan.Prepare, justify and control the department's budget and participate in the total budgeting process.Assist the administrative team to assure that all stakeholders are informed regarding Technology programs across the district.Work productively as a team member with the Tech Team, Administrative Team, the teaching staff, classified staff and site-based teams.Conduct surveys with all stakeholder groups to obtain feedback on challenges and strengths of technology and technology related programs (Google Classroom, Gmail, School Messenger, etc).Plan and conduct meetings, in-services and workshops for staff and community as needed.Attend meetings, district activities and training as assigned.Maintain open communication with students, parents, community and staff.Continue personal and professional development through involvement in professional organizations and by attending and presenting at professional conferences, conducting colleague visits, facilitating school visitation, writing for publication, and engaging in professional reading.Compile program reports for the Administrative Team and Governing Board as needed.Produce high quality communiqués.Represent the district in a professional manner, and in the best interests of the district.Perform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in related field, or Master's Degree (preferred)A minimum of five (5) years of successful technology experiencePass fingerprint/background check or hold valid fingerprint cardPossess and maintain valid Arizona driver's licenseAbility to work independently and supervise othersDemonstrated leadership experience in data driven decision-makingOTHER REQUIREMENTS (PREFERRED):
Effective presentation skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal, nonverbal, written, etc)Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, students, and communitySuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptableOne to two years experience with District's current SIS (Synergy)SQL CertificationExperience with MS SQL ServerExperience creating SQL Queries with multiple joinsDatabase administrator experiencePrevious software training experience experience with programming languages such as MS SQL, PHP, Javascript, VB.NET, HTML, CSS
