Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe Area VP, West Sales will execute NEVRO’s overall Sales strategy; focusing on the assigned directives as defined by the Annual Business Plan with the intent to increase market share in the designated area of accountability.

A successful individual in this role will possess the ability to build and maintain deep, trusting relationships with internal partners and external healthcare professionals.

This relationship will enable candid, two-way collaboration that builds and executes on a shared vision for success.

The Area VP, West Sales will have responsibility for leading their respective sales team to include Regional Sales Directors.

This position reports to the Vice President of

US Sales.

The primary focus of the role is to manage and lead sales strategy and execution for Nevro. This will include translating the overall strategy into tactical growth plans with metric-driven processes to ensure outcomes and financial goals are achieved. The role will require an individual to establish a results and performance-based culture while infusing a robust level of processes and prioritization. This person should also have a demonstrated track record of recruiting and fielding an "A+" team of sales professionals. In addition to hiring, training, motivating and leading the sales organization, the Area VP of Sales will be a professional "relationship developer", an executive with a proven track record in developing and driving high quality customer relationships. The role will also require a business-oriented executive who recognizes changing market dynamics and will contribute to Nevro’s overall strategy in a collaborative way.

Direct Reports to the AVP of Sales will be Regional Sales Directors, who lead teams of field sales representatives and clinical specialists to ensure the achievement of regional sales targets for the company. This includes overseeing and leading the identification of business opportunities, building and fostering client relationships and ensuring the effective sales of NEVRO’s products to meet/exceed sales forecasts and goals.

Role Requirements

Responsible for the implementation of strategic marketing, sales, and product development plans that cultivate a well-qualified sales pipeline from Enterprise customers globally.

Work in tandem with other members of sales and marketing teams to plan and coordinate business generation activities, such as responding to client requests for proposals (RFP). This will be obtained in a timely and accurate fashion. Accountable for outcomes.

Actively prospect, connect, educate, advise, close, and nurture prospective business.

Lead product-focused scientific advisory boards and collaborative activities with KOL/HCPs and professional organizations to develop clinical / market insights, obtain product feedback, and disseminate scientific product information.

Develop and maintain strong external collaboration (e.g. with KOLs, professional organizations) to understand customer needs, obtain feedback on market needs, and ensure that our service and value proposition meet market needs.

Develop a clear understanding of customer environments and build customer solutions in order to enhance and optimize the customer’s business activities and results.

Assign priorities to business opportunities while creating account plans and sales strategies.

Obtain client requirements and prepare business development strategies tailored to the targeted client.

Assist in the development of sales related materials, prepare presentations and regularly present at customer meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows and conferences.

Understands customer's direction, structure, and requirements.

Analyzes customer's industry and competitive position.

Comply and Adhere to all governing policies stated by code of conduct guidelines.

Skills and Knowledge

4-year college degree required

Exceptional prospecting, business development, and large account management skills.

This position requires over 50% travel.

Target Pay Range$175k-$200k base salary, plus bonus variable based on the Area's revenue generation. The final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and geography. *Nevro is a multi-state employer, so the target pay range may increase or decrease depending on the city/state.
