Description
A-1 is seeking driven Electrical Apprentices to join our team assisting electricians with installing and maintaining electrical and power systems.
Essential Functions:Assist in installing electrical systems.Install sound systems, security systems, voice and data systems, lighting, ceiling fans, electrical outlets, and circuit breakers.Thread conduit ends and connect couplings and conduit fittings using wrench.Secure brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pull wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals.Use tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers.Replace faulty fuse boxes, circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire.Hook up appliances for power.Repair motors, transformers, generators, and electronic controllers on machine tools and industrial robots.Consult with engineers, engineering technicians, line installers and repairers, or industrial machinery mechanics and maintenance workers when performing installations.Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to browse electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.Must possess communication skills, self-supervision, and respect for safety needs.Must possess team spirit, and be able to work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering, and out of doors services.Must be ready to do overtime work if the need arises. Must have a versatile work schedule.Must have valid drivers' license.Must possess own transportation as most locations aren't accessible with public transportation.Must be able to comply to a criminal background check and drug testRequirements and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalentPersonal tools to be used for the jobPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Must be able to climb ladders.Benefits:
