A-1 is seeking driven Electrical Apprentices to join our team assisting electricians with installing and maintaining electrical and power systems.
Essential Functions:
A-1 is seeking driven Electrical Apprentices to join our team assisting electricians with installing and maintaining electrical and power systems.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in installing electrical systems.
- Install sound systems, security systems, voice and data systems, lighting, ceiling fans, electrical outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Thread conduit ends and connect couplings and conduit fittings using wrench.
- Secure brackets to bulkheads with screws and bolts and pull wires through conduit leading to connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals.
- Use tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers.
- Replace faulty fuse boxes, circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire.
- Hook up appliances for power.
- Repair motors, transformers, generators, and electronic controllers on machine tools and industrial robots.
- Consult with engineers, engineering technicians, line installers and repairers, or industrial machinery mechanics and maintenance workers when performing installations.
- Must be able to browse electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Must possess communication skills, self-supervision, and respect for safety needs.
- Must possess team spirit, and be able to work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering, and out of doors services.
- Must be ready to do overtime work if the need arises. Must have a versatile work schedule.
- Must have valid drivers' license.
- Must possess own transportation as most locations aren't accessible with public transportation.
- Must be able to comply to a criminal background check and drug test
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Personal tools to be used for the job
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
