The University of Chicago\'s Department of Surgery, Section of Urology, is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Urology at the Hyde Park location and affiliated off-sites. Appointees will support the prostate cancer program which entails treating, evaluating, and providing patient care directly. Appointees will also maintain a productive clinical portfolio and develop a clinical practice complemented by patient-oriented research. Additionally, appointees will focus on the prostate and GU cancer program and support the General Urology program as needed. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
The University of Chicago Medicine has been at the forefront of medical care since 1927. Located in historic Hyde Park, the primary medical campus includes the Center for Care and Discovery, Comer Children\'s Hospital, Bernard A. Mitchell Hospital for adult inpatient care, and the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM) totaling more than 550 beds in service and net patient care revenues over \$1.4 billion. New ambulatory facilities are located in Orland Park and the South Loop; outpatient facilities are located in River East; the Ingalls Health System has integrated into the network; and the multispecialty care facility in Northwest Indiana is opening in the spring of 2024.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board certified or eligible with the American Board of Urology or equivalent.
We especially welcome applicants who have completed an accredited fellowship training from the Society of Urologic Oncology or have experience in the care of bladder cancer patients.
