TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Accountant II in Atlanta, GA.
This role provides intermediate accounting and finance support with a focus on intercompany transactions while following established procedures minimal direction.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Accounting and sits within the US Field Accounting Organization. It interfaces with the larger US Field Finance Organization as well as global business partners.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepare General Ledger JE's as required. Performs balance sheet reconciliations (intercompany AP/AR, loans, etc). Ensure proper accounting of intercompany transactions each month. Serve as primary point of contact for US Field intercompany transactions with global business partners, particularly Corporate HQ in Germany. Research and reconcile out-of-balance or mismatched intercompany transactions and ensure timely resolution of all accounting issues. Compile and analyze account information and trends while exercising expert judgement and insight in the process. Establish a professional network in the company and improve Accounting's standing as a reliable support team by independently providing timely and accurate accounting support as needed. Coordinate with regional finance teams with respect to financial statement preparation for their region and answering accounting and financial questions as needed. Develop standard and ad hoc reports with analysis to support business objectives as needed. Assist on audit and tax requests as assigned. Strengthen technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and other training opportunities. Set an example for engagement, safety and personal performance. Work and support effectively as a team player. Perform special projects, analysis and other duties as directed.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or similar field is required. 2-5 years of full-time work experience in financial analysis, business administration, general accounting, cost accounting, economic analysis, systems analysis, or related area. In-depth understanding of accounting methods with the ability to apply GAAP and IFRS knowledge. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suites, particularly Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, ERP retrieve tools, etc). Oracle or similar ERP system experienced desired; SAP experience a strong plus. A high level of initiative and drive with a natural sense of ownership for projects and duties. Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability for articulate/diplomatic communication. Previous working relationship with foreign parent company finance organization a plus.
