The Vice President of Consumer Lending and Mortgage will play a strategic and hands-on leadership role, overseeing the consumer lending and mortgage functions to drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence. This role ensures that lending services meet member needs while aligning with the Credit Union's mission, vision, and values. The VP works to provide beneficial lending solutions for members, maintain a competitive edge, and contribute to the organization's overall financial health and strategic goals. Reporting to the SVP of Sales and Lending, this position is integral to achieving the Credit Union's objectives and fostering a member-focused, compliant, and effective lending environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement the Credit Union's consumer lending and mortgage strategies, aligning them with our values, mission, and growth objectives.Product and Service Management:

Oversee the creation, delivery, and management of consumer and mortgage loan products that meet member needs and competitive benchmarks.Financial Oversight:

Ensure that loan portfolios are managed to achieve targets for growth, profitability, and risk mitigation.Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, industry standards, and internal policies to safeguard the Credit Union's assets and reputation.Team Leadership:

Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of skilled professionals in consumer lending and mortgage. Foster a collaborative, member-focused culture.Member Experience:

Champion a commitment to exceptional member service, ensuring lending processes are streamlined, responsive, and accessible.Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience:

7+ years of leadership experience in consumer lending and mortgage, with a strong track record of product development and strategy implementation. At least 3 years in a strategic leadership role.Knowledge:

Comprehensive knowledge of lending regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical skills for data analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.Professionalism:

Presents a positive, professional image and maintains a high level of organization and prioritization.
