Job Summary:
Altus Group is delighted to announce a new opportunity for an Analyst to join our 'Unclaimed Property' team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This position is expected to fill a role within the department by assisting with the handling of client projects. The employee will assist with the collection of data obtained from clients and analyze the information received, pertaining to unclaimed property compliance, state voluntary disclosures, audit defence and/or asset recovery.
The employee will assist with the collection of data obtained from clients and analyze the information received under the supervision of consultants and managers. Working arrangements are a hybrid model or remote.Job
ResponsibilitiesCollect data received from clients and validate completeness and accuracy, record and communicate any gaps and/or inaccuracies to superiors.Perform due diligence reconciliations and assist with annual filings.Communicate with state administrators requesting/ forwarding information and collaborate with internal colleagues to complete projects.Participate in educational courses to further knowledge in unclaimed property industry.Job Requirements
An undergraduate degree. Finance, Economics or Accounting (or related field) is preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel, Word and Outlook).Strong Excel skills, with the ability to perform some advanced functions (SUM, If/Then, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).An analytical mindset, with the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.Independent thinkerExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Resourceful and professional, with the ability to take a proactive approach to work.Previous experience working within unclaimed property is a benefit, but not a requisite.What Altus Group offers:
