Altus Group is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Data Scientist will be responsible for data quality control and will support the development and work distribution of the team to ensure data meets quality standards and is accurate, consistent and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:Manage data projects, leading projects to manage data, including overseeing delivery dates, budgets and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with R&D resources to define and scope data science solutionsOversee data quality processes: defining data quality processes, including controls, quality targets and alert thresholdsParticipate in model and code reviews and contribute to a team consistently shipping new or updated analytics solutionsDefine and implement metrics that will track model performance over time to identify risks and opportunitiesCommunicate results and insights from data science initiatives to stakeholders and other internal/external users and customersKey Qualifications:
A scientist at heart. You are thoughtful and rigorous about modeling methodology and setting standards for exploration and experimentation.BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field3+ years of experience working in a Data specialist role1+ years managing, leading and/or training other employeesStrong people management skillsKnowledge of Machine Learning AWS SageMaker or Azure ML Studio3+ years of Python or Java development experience3+ years of SQL experience (NoSQL experience is a plus)3+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modelingAbility in managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clientsExperience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systemsExperience in Tableau, analysis services, Salesforce, integration services, or any other data visualization tools.Demonstrated ability to process & manage unstructured dataKnowledge in Cloud Infrastructure - Azure, GCP or AWS and related systems for data storage & managementWhat Altus Group offers:
