GPD is looking for an Architectural Project Manager to lead our technical efforts for our clients in the Federal market sector. Due to our organic growth and stellar reputation in the industry, GPD is excited to add an Architectural Project Manager to our Dallas, TX office. This individual would focus their technical efforts in not only managing clients' project work, but also in mentoring our team for continued future success and growth.
Role Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.7-10 years of experience in architectural design work for government projects including Federal, State and Municipal sectors.Extensive experience managing architects in design and documentation for project work.Highly knowledgeable in using Revit and AutoCAD for technical work.Familiar with a variety of construction delivery methods.Proficient understanding of specification writing and building codes, zoning, public/government processes, building materials, and construction techniques.Must possess experience in coordinating with internal teams, including project planning, estimating, scheduling, and tracking.Experience mentoring and empowering architects newer in their career.Enjoys taking on a leadership role not only as a technical expert in our field but as a servant leader in the community and within the company.Thrives in a collaborative project environment and enjoys all forms of communications while working with clients and team members (virtual, in-person, phone).Enjoys developing and nurturing strong client and sub consultant relationships.Experience developing and overseeing project scope, schedule, and fees for new projects and additional scope/services requested by clients that yield successful projects for clients and the Company.Key Responsibilities:
Project Management in our Federal group provides the opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders and in a wide variety of services that encompass our discipline in the development of Federal projects: this includes complete A & E design, survey, construction, public/government agencies, and field services.Technical oversight:
managing the design and documentation process; ensures projects follow Federal Agency guidelines and contract compliance; and conducts code evaluation and researches and recommends innovative design solutions.Client Engagement and Management offers a chance for the Project Manager to develop and build programs and client relationships to grow this team:
this includes understanding clients' needs and how they translate into specific scope and reporting systems and meeting and communicating with clients and teams daily/weekly as required.Mentoring and developing the Federal team to further our success in the industry:
this includes not only architectural design and technical training but empowering those teammates to find their passion and skills in our industry and translating that to continued career success.Administrative oversight:
using Key Performance indicators and financial objectives, this includes developing, communicating, and tracking workflow tasks, scheduling, championing GPD's quality assurance and client standards, and ensuring that project documents are consistent with project plans and within scope and budget. This also includes responsibility for administering the project from contract development through construction and close out.GPD believes passionately that everyone on our team knows that they are a valued member of our employee-owned company.
