Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mid-Level Database Administrator (Oracle and SQL Server) to join our team in Frederick, Maryland.Responsibilities
Configure and maintain database systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.Perform regular database maintenance, including backup and recovery processes.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure databases meet application and system requirements.Optimize and tune database performance, including query optimization and index management.Conduct capacity planning to anticipate database growth and resource needs.Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and processes.Basic Qualifications
A bachelor's degreeA minimum of four (4) years of experience working as a Database Administrator with the following databases: Oracle, SQL ServerProficiency in database management systemsStrong experience with database design, implementation, maintenance, and security.In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.Preferred Qualifications
SAFe Agilist or SAFe for Teams certificationExperience working as a Database Administrator supporting TMIP-J applicationsExperience with DevSecOpsRelevant certifications in database administration.Clearance Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.Physical Requirements
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
