Principal Systems Administrator - Helpdesk System Administrator (24-065)Schriever Afb, COPosition Overview:Support the C2BMC-G Infrastructure Engineering team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment near Colorado Springs at Schriever Space Force Base. Act as the first line of defense for user-level interactions and issues. This position primarily supports users in person, secure phone, email, or instant message (IM). Customer-facing skills are necessary, and you must be comfortable diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with remote users daily.Essential Functions:Domain account creation (along with restricted security group add abilities).User password resets.Application installations and troubleshooting for users.User thin client troubleshooting.Work with the active directory team and compliance/patching admins to work through updating processes and procedures.Monitoring dedicated helpdesk phone lines and/or chat capability for servicing various C2BMC-G team requests for assistance.Route user requests to the appropriate team for service.Experience with supporting users in an enterprise-level system.Experience with writing standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation.Comfortable interacting professionally with users and customers in an IT service-type setting, including via phone, email, IM, and face-to-face communications.Experience with installing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux applications.Experience using a help desk ticketing system (such as Atlassian JIRA) to record work performed and details for future use.Ability to write and edit technical documentation of processes/procedures in solutions such as Atlassian Confluence.Basic Qualifications:An active Top-Secret clearance is required to start with eligibility for SCI and SAP.6 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 4 years with Masters and 10 years experience in lieu of a degree.Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).Provide technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and gathering an understanding of system requirements and infrastructure functionality.Create and improve written processes and documentation.Preferred Qualifications:Windows 10/11 administrative experience in an enterprise environment.RedHat 7/8/9 administrative experience in an enterprise environment.Microsoft Active Directory for tasks such as creating/modifying users.Salary Range:
