Come join us and become a Champion with GAINSCO.What does an IT Infrastructure Engineer do at GAINSCO?Design, deploy, and manage Azure virtual machines, virtual networks and other cloud-based resources; as well as equivalent on-prem VMware resources.Monitor and optimize resources for performance, cost, and security.Configure and manage network infrastructure components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WANs.Serve as Tier 3 support on various IT issues escalated from System Administration team, including hardware, software, and network problems.Troubleshoot network issues and ensure high availability and reliability.Implement and maintain VPNs, VLANs, and other network security measures.Ensure system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans are in place.Manage Active Directory, group policies, and identity and access management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and IT support to provide technical expertise and support for projects.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, and security.Research and implement creative solutions to reach business goals of staying competitive in the marketplace.Execute code promotions to production environment during off-hour deployment windows.What is required?Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.In lieu of a degree, 11+ years of related work experience may suffice.Experience:7+ years professional experience in IT Infrastructure, specifically with Microsoft Windows Server architecture and administration required.7+ years network administration experience, including routers/switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless networks.7+ years of experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS administration, virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) required.7+ years Windows File and Print services.7+ years backup and storage management.7+ years supporting Microsoft 365 services.Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript, Python).Other skills and abilities:Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ preferred.Strong communication and collaboration skills.What else do you need to know?Ability to be on-call, 24/7.Hybrid position - 2 days in office per week.Competitive Salary based on experience.Excellent benefits package: medical & dental (Basic plan FREE), vision insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance.Parental Leave Policy.401K + Company Match.PTO Plan + Paid Company determined Holidays.**Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity**All offers are contingent upon a successful background investigation (including employment, education, criminal and DMV verification- when applicable) and a pre-employment drug test with results satisfactory to GAINSCO.GAINSCO is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
