Northrop Grumman Defense System is seeking a Principal Data Insight Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for specifying, collecting, processing, and presenting information from potentially several disparate data sets. They will generate actionable knowledge from data and possess the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary for quickly developing recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data from various sources. The candidate will identify patterns and insights from the data through the use of tools and application programming. They will be responsible for data integrity and metrics reporting and must be familiar with aircraft systems such as avionics/mechanical equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have High School diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant experience in the aircraft systems, aviation, and aerospace industry.
Will consider 6 years with a bachelor’s degree or 4 years with a Master’s - experience must be relevant to aircraft systems, aviation, and aerospace industry.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Experience conducting ad hoc research and reporting through data analysis.
Applicants must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Applicants must be a US citizen and hold a minimum active DoD Secret security clearance, in scope within 5 years, and be willing to submit to polygraph.
Additionally, the ability to obtain and retain Special Program access is required as a condition of employment within 365 days of submission.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field.
Operational experience is preferred over manufacturing or production.
Knowledge of Tableau dashboarding, Python with Jupyter notebook, and SQL.
Experience with technical writing skills and the ability to communicate complex data in a simple and actionable way.
Salary Range:
$97,500 - $146,300
