Signature Systems Engineer
with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements? If so, our team at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD), West Bethesda, MD!As a Signature Systems Engineer you will:Apply your knowledge as a Signature Systems Engineer to support NSWCCD laboratory operations and acoustic calibration and certification efforts.Work with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals.Enjoy flexibility managing your work hours and personal needs with a single accrual leave plan.A week in the life of a Signature Systems Engineer:Provide daily signal processing support, including operating and maintaining laboratory acoustic data processing systems.Assist acoustic analyst in acoustic analysis system set up, data archiving, calibration, and reporting functions.Update laboratory systems related installation, operations, and maintenance documentation.Provide support for laboratory efforts.Develop enhancements to acoustic data acquisition, deformatters, beamformers, beamsteering, telemetry interfaces, array health assessments, sensor configurations, visualization tools, data and knowledge management tools, automation tools, report generation tools, and other signal processing methods.Support NSWCCD engineers in the development of new acoustic data processing equipment and associated Research and Development (R&D) efforts.Assist NSWCCD engineers in developing functional and performance requirements.Job Requirements:Have an active Secret security clearance.At least 4+ years of experience in:Development, testing, or operational deployment of signature measurement systems.Conducting R&D efforts to support the design and evaluation of time series data recorded from sonar systems/sensors for post processing and analysis.MS Office tools, C#, LINUX RED HAT, MS SQL, MATLAB, JIRA, ACROBAT, ADOBE AUDITION, or AUDACITY.Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States.
