As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll work directly with a stellar team to help us build core software components that enable our team to quickly build and deploy complex software. You will have the opportunity to proactively solve unique problems and build software and systems that act as force multipliers for our development teams.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Aescape you will have to be diligent, curious, and take complete ownership of your code end-to-end with a clear sense of urgency, is essential.

Design, develop, and maintain software systems for ingesting, processing, and delivering data.Partner with colleagues related to design and code reviews.Develop means for deploying, scaling, and monitoring software systems.Solve problems related to the scalability, reliability, performance, and software security.

What You’ll Bring

5 plus years of experience -or- demonstrated proficiency in at least one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Go, Python, C++).Degree in- or experience equivalent to Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering.Strong understanding of database design and modeling (e.g., PostgreSQL).Experience in building scalable systems; building RESTful services.Understanding of automated testing, deployment processes, and tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High emotional intelligence (EQ), you’re aware of yourself and others.
