T-Rex Solutions is seeking a qualified Senior Virtualization Engineer to support of a secure customer located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah (HAFB). This program aims to modernize legacy USAF network infrastructure and migrate services into a new AWS Cloud Environment. For any candidates not already local to the Ogden, UT area, T-Rex is offering a relocation support package to assist with moving costs.

Responsibilities:

Oversee activities related to monitoring, administering, and ensuring recoverability of and adherence to VMWare standards and policies

Manage technical infrastructure and application environments.

Manage and monitor the capture and virtualization of production data.

Manage the evaluation of server implementations that capture virtualization requirements.

Ensure STIGs are correctly implemented to secure the virtualization infrastructure.

Manage the encryption infrastructure for the hardware environment.

Manage, design, plan, build, configure and maintain the virtual server infrastructure.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or IT related field with five (5) or more years of experience in determining information technology effects on the organizational structure and determining the ability that IT can support/meet organizational goals. A Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience or a PhD and 0+ years of experience may be substituted.

Must possess an Interim or Active Secret Clearance

At least one of the following certifications desired:

VMWare Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization

VMWare Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization

Desired Skills:

Experience with the following:

Identity and Access Management.

VMWare vSphere version 6 and higher

VMWare vCenter

VMware vRealize Suite Cloud Management Platform

VMWare Continuous Data Protection

DBaaS in VMWare Cloud

VMware Aria Suite

VMWare Cloud Platform

VMWare NSX

Familiarity with SAN solutions, ideally Dell EMC VNX

Experience with backup solutions, ideally Cohesity and Netbackup

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
