This position is responsible for processing and overseeing all MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registration System) related functions and activities. The Sr. MERS Administrator will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all documents for MERS related audits, monthly and annual reports as required by specific investors and in accordance with current MERS guidelines. The Sr. MERS Administrator is also involved in reviewing and reconciling reports to identify and cure all discrepancies between the MERS System and servicing system. The Sr. MERS Administrator will also assist management with; oversight, guidance and training, facilitating interdepartmental collaboration and engaging team members to execute tasks assigned by management to meet established deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities

Ability to perform all processes and functions within the MERS system including MERS eRegistry.

Performs the timely processing of all tasks related to the acquisitions and transfers process for the MERS system, including final reconciliations of loan counts boarded to LPS and MERS.

Responsible for all eVault activities including inbound & outbound transfers.

Performs MIN level research for any MERS related issues.

Performs monthly MERS portfolio review and reconciliation.

Coordinates any tasks or projects related to MERS.

Compiles all sub-servicing related data for annual compliance reporting to MERS.

Acts as a liaison to MERS for RoundPoint and investors or clients.

Distributes MERS communications and/or documents to appropriate areas within RoundPoint.

Maintains all applicable corporate requirements for eligible signors, resolutions and MERS contacts.

Monitor reporting for trends, developments, and errors.

Distribute, balance, monitor, and report progress on execution of daily pipelines and control reports.

Provides status reports as needed and responds to all correspondence related to MERS.

Provides guidance and training to associates related to MERS system and processes.

Complete Quality Assurance sampling, testing, and oversight.

Prepare reports and audit responses for management review and delivery to RPMS clients.

Collaborate across departments to research and resolve escalated account issues and ensure service delivery objectives are met.

Maintains a responsible, courteous and professional relationship with investors and vendors.

Assists in the establishment and monitoring of department policies and procedures related to MERS.

Assist management with development and testing of new business requirements, projects, communications, and training.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.

Other work-related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum 3+ Years MERS related experience required.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

MSP/LPS Desktop Solution experience preferred.

Advanced knowledge of basic computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel (V-lookups and other formulas), Internet and Microsoft Outlook is required.

Requires an extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service.

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to effectively coach, motivate, and lead staff.
