This position is responsible for processing and overseeing all MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registration System) related functions and activities. The Sr. MERS Administrator will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all documents for MERS related audits, monthly and annual reports as required by specific investors and in accordance with current MERS guidelines. The Sr. MERS Administrator is also involved in reviewing and reconciling reports to identify and cure all discrepancies between the MERS System and servicing system. The Sr. MERS Administrator will also assist management with oversight, guidance and training, facilitating interdepartmental collaboration and engaging team members to execute tasks assigned by management to meet established deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities
Ability to perform all processes and functions within the MERS system including MERS eRegistryPerforms the timely processing of all tasks related to the acquisitions and transfers process for the MERS system, including final reconciliations of loan counts boarded to LPS and MERSResponsible for all eVault activities including inbound & outbound transfersPerforms MIN level research for any MERS related issuesPerforms monthly MERS portfolio review and reconciliationCoordinates any tasks or projects related to MERSCompiles all sub-servicing related data for annual compliance reporting to MERSActs as a liaison to MERS for RoundPoint and investors or clientsDistributes MERS communications and/or documents to appropriate areas within RoundPointMaintains all applicable corporate requirements for eligible signors, resolutions and MERS contactsMonitor reporting for trends, developments, and errorsDistribute, balance, monitor, and report progress on execution of daily pipelines and control reportsProvides status reports as needed and responds to all correspondence related to MERSProvides guidance and training to associates related to MERS system and processesComplete Quality Assurance sampling, testing, and oversightPrepare reports and audit responses for management review and delivery to RPMS clientsCollaborate across departments to research and resolve escalated account issues and ensure service delivery objectives are metMaintains a responsible, courteous and professional relationship with investors and vendorsAssists in the establishment and monitoring of department policies and procedures related to MERSAssist management with development and testing of new business requirements, projects, communications, and trainingMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networksOther work-related duties, as assignedQualificationsRequired:Minimum 3+ Years MERS related experience requiredBachelor’s Degree preferredMSP/LPS Desktop Solution experience preferredAdvanced knowledge of basic computer software programs to include Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel (V-lookups and other formulas), Internet and Microsoft Outlook is requiredRequires an extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and proceduresMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesExcellent oral communication skills, including ability to effectively coach, motivate, and lead staffPhysical Demands & Working ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
