The Quality Assurance Manager will be dedicated to leading quality assurance activities throughout the entire software development life cycle. In this role, you will assist with troubleshooting and testing to ensure that developed products meet requirements and design specifications. The ideal candidate will have excellent documentation skills, knowledge around defect identification and management, and possess the desire for continuous development. In addition, they will lead a team of QA Analysts and contribute to ongoing improvements within Quality Assurance.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day workstreams for the Quality Assurance team.Research and document all identified issues and resolutions prior to deployment.Help to define test cases and strategy to validate websites, application software, and backend databases.Assist with software testing and verification for all software products, applications, and deliverables.Provide metrics and assist with project team reporting of project status to leadership and stakeholders.Remain adaptable and responsive to all communications, even while under pressure and tight deadlines.Take initiative to stay current on evolving quality assurance and related industry innovations and best practices.Qualifications
7 or more years of progressive software testing experience in a QA environment, preferably within a financial services or mortgage-related industry.3 or more years of management experience.Ability to read and create SQL statements and reports as needed.Exposure to or hands-on experience with various test environments, different approaches, needs, and tools.Previous experience within an agile environment or blended methodology environment (agile/waterfall), and hands-on experience with agile tools such as JIRA.Working knowledge of any combination of the following:Database and GUI testingGUI and database designData AnalysisProduction implementation (including planning, support, and execution).Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully across diverse audiences and teams.Excellent communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.Software development experience with exposure to multiple software development methodologies preferred.Basic understanding of the Financial Services or Mortgage industries, or the willingness to learn.Previous experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, etc.Previous experience testing SSRS or BI reports.Physical Demands & Working Conditions
