Data Engineer

The Data Engineer will primarily be dedicated to providing support for our Information Technology team. In this role you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including continuous process improvement, reporting and data quality, while identifying opportunities to enhance or automate existing processes and tools. The ideal candidate will have a background in database and systems software development experience. In addition, they will be results oriented and demonstrate the flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
Loading of market data from various providers and moving data between SQL Servers and various file structures.Assist with all internal ETL work and utilize expertise to provide ideas and recommendations for improvements.Provide ETL support on unstructured documents and data files provided by mortgage servicing/financial firms.Assist with the data transfer from various databases to our operational data store and data warehouse.Design, tune, test, and deploy advanced SQL Server database solutions using the Microsoft Azure and SQL Server related tools sets in a DevOps environment.Provides development and analytical support for the data warehouse using SQL Server databases and Integration Services (SSIS) packages.Experience using version management such as TFS/Git/GitHub/Azure DevOps with an agile methodology.Effectively communicate with peers and superiors in a way that drives deliverables forward.Subject to complete other duties as assigned.Incumbent will be responsible for meeting RoundPoint's commitment to compliance.Qualifications
Required:
3 or more years of experience with ETL tools and technologies.Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or related field of study.Extensive knowledge with:
SSISSQLSSRSSQL Server 2016-2022Azure Data Factory (preferred)
Strong understanding of database concepts and design and desire to say up to date on best practices.Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully across diverse audiences and teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Desired:
