Job Description

The Cloud Application Developer at RoundPoint works with business, architect(s), other developers, management, and other IT groups to understand and develop technical solutions. The Cloud Application Developer is ultimately responsible to create technical requirements, design, develop, and maintain runbooks for complex enterprise applications. This requires in-depth technical expertise across multiple platforms, operating systems, and tools, and of the entire enterprise landscape. Understanding of various disciplines and technologies, such as web, directory services, directory synchronization, security, databases, networking, infrastructure, and application development is key.Primary ResponsibilitiesCommunicate professionally as a primary point of contact for businessManage ad-hoc requests and multiple projects simultaneously, while operating in a high tempo environment with ever-changing priorities and tasks.Design, develop, and implement new applications, enhancements, and new features to our products which are primarily ASP.NET on Azure Azure Paas, Faas, and containersParticipate in the inception phase of application selection to evaluate applications for compatibility and appropriateness for RoundPointProvide ongoing system capacity planning for existing applications and determine opportunities for optimization of existing systemsPrepare accurate and detailed requirement specification documents, user guides, and functional specification documentsParticipate in the final phases of deploying and performance tuning of the application and help identify performance bottlenecks and suggest workaroundsProvide technical and solution documentation for existing applications and ensure that this documentation remains up to dateProvide guidance on coding, re-factoring, root cause analysis, and feature design best practicesDevelop standards and best practicesCreating database schemas that represent and support business processesReview, analyze, and create solutions by utilizing RoundPoint’s cloud environment:Data & Storage: SQL Database, DocumentDB, Redis Cache, Storage (Blobs, Tables, Queues, Files, and Disks)Office and Developer Services: Visual Studio Online, Git, and Office 365Subject to complete other duties as assigned.Incumbent will be responsible for meeting RoundPoint’s commitment to compliance.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field3 years of applicable experience in a technology environment.
