THE OPPORTUNITY:
Join our team as a Principal Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and architectural decisions of our organization. This is an opportunity to lead and mentor a team of engineers, drive innovation, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions that solve complex problems.
WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance software solutions that meet the needs of our business and provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and drive best practices in software development, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our technical architecture and recommending adoption as appropriate.
THE NON-NEGOTIABLES:
Extensive experience in software development, with a strong background in designing and building complex, distributed systems.
Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and technologies, with a deep understanding of software engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
THE NICE TO HAVE'S:
Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
Previous experience in a leadership or principal engineering role.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
