At KCF Technologies, you will operate as part of a cross-functional squad with other engineers (Software, Hardware, DevOps, and Machine Learning). As a Software Engineer II, you will help build and maintain the user interfaces of KCF’s SMARTdiagnostics machine health platform, which stores and processes industrial IoT sensor data to provide analytics and insights to our users. This will help us achieve our goal of zero waste, zero downtime, and zero safety incidents for all of industry.This role can be 100% remote-based. With our Work From Home, Work From Anywhere model, KCF employees are spread across 27 different U.S states. We advocate for owning your work - you define how you do it and where you do it. Read on for more info!Essential Functions:Develop and maintain KCF’s software products (e.g. SMARTdiagnostics)Actively participate as a member of a cross-functional engineering squadAttend meetings (standups, planning and refinements, progress reviews, etc.)Collaborate with other squad members (engineers, product owners, UI/UX, QA, etc.)Produce high-quality, well-documented codeAssist in the creation of supporting artifacts (e.g. UI/UX designs, architecture diagrams, and requirements documents)Use version control and issue tracking tools to track code changes and assigned tasksMentor junior members of the teamReview Git pull requests from other engineersOther duties as assigned by the supervisor and other KCF leadership staffQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related field3-7 years relevant experienceExperience with TypeScript development and best practicesExperience with React for web developmentExperience with React Native for mobile development (iOS and Android)Understanding of enterprise software development:REST & GraphQL APIsCommon software architecture patterns such as MVCModern application auth (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML Single Sign On)CI/CD pipelinesAutomated testing (Unit testing, Integration testing, etc.)API contacts and BFF patternsInternationalization and AccessibilityExperience with data visualization and dashboarding (IoT, finance, or other time series data)Experience with design systems (e.g. Material, NativeBase)Experience with one or more of the following preferred:AnimationsAxios or similar HTTP clientsReal time translationTanStack Query / React QueryTanStack RouterViteZodAt KCF Technologies, we are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
