Nutrition Analyst

Develop and maintain collaborations with researchers within industry, university, and government.Design, conduct, and coordinate analytical studies of specific food components and animal-based food studies at MAFCL, assuring that research protocols are followed in all aspects of studies.Document the studies' procedures and results in the form of scientific manuscripts, reports, abstracts, posters, and databases.Sample collection, cooking, and processing for nutrient analyses, statistical applications, and reporting results for each nutrient within each treatment (raw and cooked), and investigation of nutrient variability due to animal husbandry and fisheries management practices, weather or seasonal conditions, feed, breed/species, geography, etc.The Analyst is needed to conduct data analysis, prepare datasets for the nutrient database, provide MAFCL data in response to inquiries from scientists and the public, and provide tools and other applications of the data.Prepare and present research results at professional meetings and for publication.Qualifications:10 years or more of experience in iodine, purines, nitrate/nitrites, glucosinolates, and animal products, in addition to the development of nutrient databases used by the public.
