Network Engineer Entry
to join our team, focusing on the design, integration, and maintenance of tactical and strategic communications networks. This role is essential in supporting the Army's communications systems and ensuring effective network operations.Key Responsibilities:Network Design & Maintenance:
Assist in the design, planning, installation, integration, and maintenance of backbone core-area tactical and strategic communications networks, including portions of the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and the Global Information Grid (GIG).Requirements Gathering:
Gather requirements from users and stakeholders, including Operational Need Statements and Capability Production Documents (CPD) for Army tactical communications systems, and help translate these into technical solutions that are standards-based and cost-efficient.Technical Support:
Support technical tasks in the integration of Data/Voice/Video/Telephony in the Tactical Network. Assist in the development of engineering and technical documentation, technical requirements, specifications, plans, and reports.Equipment Labs Support:
Provide technical support in PM TN equipment labs, helping develop equipment and network configurations and products.Technology Testing:
Support technology insertion testing related to emerging PM TN Networks requirements and capabilities.Engineering Support:
Provide assistance in software/hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, systems engineering, and quality engineering.Required Expertise:Basic Network Knowledge:
Understanding of core concepts related to tactical and strategic military communications networks.Technical Proficiency:
Basic knowledge of network design, integration, and troubleshooting.Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze network issues and assist in effective resolutions.Team Collaboration:
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering, Testing, or a related field.No prior experience
